about

I am Martina Nevado and I was born in Lima, Peru. I am a Fine artist and a writer.  From a young age, I knew that I wanted to teach art and I was always designing and creating. I usually made my own toys.  I designed my first dress at 11 years old, I had no sewing machine and I made it by hand.  Since I came to the United States I worked in childcare for fifteen years. There were many opportunities that I had to put on hold because I wanted to raise my kids for the first years of their life. When I was 51 years old and my youngest son graduated from high school, I started studies in Baking and Pastry at Hudson Community College but never stopped on what is one of my great passions, Art and Fashion Design.  I obtained an Associate Degree in Fine Arts in 2019.  I care about kids and their families and I learn so I can teach them. I am a Sewing and Cooking Instructor in my community’s Public Library.  www.facebook.com/tinakidscreations

My family has been my most significant support for everything.
